Let's face it - many people in the workforce do just enough to allow them to keep their jobs and then they complain when they are looked over for a promotion or find themselve displaced during a restructure. Your job is to fight the urge to be mediocre. There is no safety following this mass 'group think' approach to career development. Rise above the crowd by finding ways, every day, to add value that exceeds your boss's expectations.
